Q: How long does it take to get better?
A: Getting better depends upon improving
function of not only the spinal problems but the
cranium and pelvis as well. Each part of the
structural system influences the other parts.
Therefore, the adjustments are designed to improve
function of the whole
body. We also instruct our patients on the proper methods to support their needs. We carefully recheck
and record each
visit and compare the exam findings. Most often
improvement is steady and constant. The expectations
for recovery are
discussed with each patient after the initial
examination is completed.
Q: Do you have to keep coming?
A: The initial adjusting plan is discussed on
the first visit after the examination with each
patient. Our usual adjustment plan is two
adjustments per week and in most cases the plan is
achieved after four to five weeks. Afterward,
occasional adjustments are suggested so that the
functional improvements made initially are
Q: Will the adjustments be painful?
A: Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT), our
method of Chiropractic, is not painful. Our methods
do not utilize the traditional
manipulation methods. Some of the areas we work on
can initially be sore, but often we can alter the
accommodate the sensitivity.
