F.A.Q.'s

Q: How long does it take to get better?

A: Getting better depends upon improving function of not only the spinal problems but the cranium and pelvis as well. Each part of the structural system influences the other parts. Therefore, the adjustments are designed to improve function of the whole body. We also instruct our patients on the proper methods to support their needs. We carefully recheck and record each visit and compare the exam findings. Most often improvement is steady and constant. The expectations for recovery are discussed with each patient after the initial examination is completed.

Q: Do you have to keep coming?

A: The initial adjusting plan is discussed on the first visit after the examination with each patient. Our usual adjustment plan is two adjustments per week and in most cases the plan is achieved after four to five weeks. Afterward, occasional adjustments are suggested so that the functional improvements made initially are maintained.

Q: Will the adjustments be painful?

A: Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT), our method of Chiropractic, is not painful. Our methods do not utilize the traditional manipulation methods. Some of the areas we work on can initially be sore, but often we can alter the methods to accommodate the sensitivity.
